Why Scouting?

Scouting prepares young men for life through challenge! In today's world filled with distractions, Scouting adheres to values set forth over 100 years ago and gives these young men unique outdoor-focused experiences.  At Troop DXVI, we follow the Scout Oath, Law, and Outdoor Code as our guiding values

Troop DXVI

Troop DXVI is Scout-led and supported by adult volunteers ("Scouters"). We are a diverse group of over 20 young men of various ages and stages of their scouting development. Last year as a troop we camped dozens of nights, hiked, backpacked cook, perform flag ceremonies, sailed, paddleboarded, swam, rode horses, rock climbed, flew the Boeing 737 flight simulator, canoed, kayaked and so much more!
